Automated Analytics for Remote Software Development

Programeter 2.0: Your Contribution Facts: Discover them, Claim them 29 October

Mark Kofman

This week Programeter unveils a new, private beta version of its automated analytics service for remote software development teams. Programeter now allows any developer to set up a free personal account and learn his or her contribution facts. We are also pleased to announce a major improvement in Programeter usability - now all accounts are placed online on the Programeter site.

Anyone can start a company network with shared personal analytics accounts and begin inviting colleagues. The privacy of each network is ensured by limiting access to those with a valid company email address. The personal use of Programeter service is free, allowing any programmer to learn his or her contribution facts and share with colleagues inside the network. Companies can pay to access team and company level reports and receive regular updates. Paid account also enables  addition of new developers or teams to already existing company network, access rights management and more.

As Mark Kofman, co-founder of Programeter, explained "The new version of Programeter is a result of feedback we have received during last months from our customers. We have received numerous concerns from individual programmers all around the world. We took those concerns in consideration while developing this new version and believe that Programeter new personal accounts will help developers to communicate their contributions to team members and management in a fact-based manner".

Programeter vision is still the same - making development teams more productive through the use and exchange of contribution analytics. Programeter acts as a visibility and transparency bridge between development team members often distributed in several offices. The transparency is achieved by creating information rich profiles for each developer. All of the information is open to the company network members.
